تسعى الباحثة سامية بن عكوش في كتابها هذا إلى النص الصوفي بأليات جديدة، لتجاوز التعامل الموروث مع هذا النص الذي يحول دون فتح البحث العلمي في أقسام الأدب العربي على الانفتاح على فلسفات وأفكار أخرى تجدد نظرتنا النقدية للنصوص. وقد اختارت الباحثة أكثر الفلسفات إثارة للجدل، ألا وهو التفكيك، وقامت بتوليفة منهجية استمدتها من أصوله الهايدجيرية، من خلال مفاهيم معينة كالكينونة والحضور وزاوجت بين مفاهيم عدت أساسا من صميم فلسفة جاك دريدا كالاختلاف والإرجاء، مستعينة بما يسها عليها عملية التحليل من إضافات رولان بارت وجوليا كريستيفا وجاك لاكان، وكل ذلك من أجل أن تكشف عن البينات العميقة التي تتحكم في انبثاق المعنى الصوفي.
