يتناول الكتاب الحديث عن مذكرات لينين حيث سنغوص في شخصية لينين ومذكراته فيحكي لنا عن نشاطاته السياسية ومراحل الثورة التي عاصرها والحرب بين روسيا القيصرية والإمبراطورية الألمانية كما يتحدث عن أفكاره المتعلقة بالصراع الطبقي ودور الحكومات في إثراءه محام شاب آمن بالفكر الماركسي الثوري وسعى لجعله حقيقة فقام بتأسيس المذهب اللينيني ووهب حياته للدفاع عن الطبقات الكادحة من العمال والثورة ضد استبداد الحكومات وتحالفها مع أصحاب رؤوس الأموال، إنه صاحب الشخصية المثيرة للجدل \"فلاديمير لينين\" الذي عانى في حياته كثيرا فقد عاش ملاحقا واتهم بالخيانة ونفي إلى سيبيريا ولم يسلم من محاولات الاغتيال المتكررة التي أودت آخرها بحياته عام 1924.
