يقول المؤلف إن الأمر الرئيس الذي دفعني لإخراج هذا الكتاب هو اللغط الذي أثير حول الجن وأدبهم وقصصهم فبعض الناس يعتقدون أن ليس للجن وجود وهذا خطأ فادح فالله عز وجل أعلمنا في كثير من الايات القرآنية وأخبرنا عن وجودهم كذلك فرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ذكرهم في كثير من أحاديثه النبوية الشريفة والبعض الآخر يعتقد أن ليس للجن أي شعر وإنما هو من واقع الخيال وتمثل على لسان الشعراء فقط وهذا أيضا يدحضه الأئمة الكبار أمثال ابن كثير وابن الجوزي والشبلي وابن قيم الجوزية وغيرهم وهو ما أوردته في هذا الكتاب.
