يعرض هذا الكتاب لواقع الانقسام الفلسطيني بين حركتي المقاومة الاسلامية حماس وفتح وتداعياته على عملية تسوية القضية الفلسطينية منذ فوز حماس في الانتخابات التشريعية الفلسطينية في كانون الثاني / يناير 2006 ويتناول المواقف العربية والدولية من هذا الحدث والحكومة الفلسطينية التي شكلتها حركة حماس قبل سيطرتها عسكريا على قطاع غزة في حزيران / يونيو 2007 وما نجم عن ذلك من انقسام جغرافي وسياسي فلسطيني لم يسبق له مثيل ومحاولات عربية لرأب الصدع الفلسطيني مع ما ترافق مع ذلك من محاولات دولية لدفع المفاوضات الفلسطينية-الإسرائيلية.
