يتناول الكتاب الأصول التاريخية للقراخانيين، ومناطق استقرارهم وأهم المدن التي استقروا فيها وأشار الكتاب إلى لغتهم وألقاب أمرائهم ومدلولاتها السياسية، وتناول -بشكل مفصل- أهم الديانات التي اعتنقوها، وكان آخرها الدين الإسلامي، وأشرت إلى دورهم في نشره بين القبائل التركية وكفاحهم الطويل في محاربة الكفار من القبائل التركية وتناول -أيضا- اهتمام الأمراء القراخانيين بالبناء والعمران، وعلاقتهم مع الخلافة العباسية وتطورها.
