يأتى هذا الكتاب \"السرد المعاصر.. جماليات ومناهج وتجريب\"، وفى هذا الإطار أيضًا تتضح أهمية هذا الكتاب، باعتباره محاولة لتطويع الخطاب النقدى بمناهجه المتعددة لاستكشاف جماليات الخطاب السردى المعاصر، وهى محاولة لا تخلو من التجريب النقدى فى التعامل مع التجريب فى السرد المعاصر. تمثل فصول الكتاب الأربعة دراسات تطبيقية متكاملة، يحاول كل فصل تطبيق أحد المداخل النقدية على نماذج مختارة من القصص والروايات المعاصرة؛ وتتكامل هذه المداخل فيما بينها؛ ليكشف لنا الكتاب فى النهاية عن جماليات النص السردى المعاصر فى ترابطه مع عنوانه، وفى تداخله مع النص الشعرى، وفى تجاوبه مع التجريب، وفى تناغمه مع الواقع المعاصر.
