كتاب الباحث والمؤرخ المرموق حنا بطاطو : (الشيخ والفلاح في العراق : 1917-1958) ترجمة وتعليق د. صادق عبد علي طريخم، تقديم وتعليق : د. سلمان رشيد محمد الهلالي الصادر عن دار نشر سطور للنشر والتوزيع-بغداد، وقدم حنا بطاطو كتابه (الشيخ والفلاح في العراق 1917-1958) كأطروحة دكتوراه إلى جامعة هارفارد في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في العام 1960، وهي دراسة رائدة في وقتها ليس بسبب الحيادية والموضوعية التي تميزت بها فحسب ولكن لأن بطاطو اعتمد كما يقول د. سلمان رشيد محمد الهلالي في تقديمه للكتاب على رؤية جديدة جمعت بين منهجية كارل ماركس ورؤية ماكس فيبر في تحليل المجتمعات العربية ومنها المجتمع العراقي.
