هذا الكتاب \"متحف آثار ساروق الحديد\" فهرس مصور يحتوي على جميع القطع الأثرية الموجودة داخل متحف ساروق الحديد الذي تم إنشاؤه بتوجيهات صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم نائب رئيس الدولة رئيسی مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي، الغرض منه عرض نماذج من القطع الأثرية التي تم الكشف عنها في موقع مساروق الحديد الأثري حتة الآن ؛ يبدأ هذا الفهرس بنبذة مختصرة عن اكتشاف الموقع وأهميته التاريخية، إضافة إلى التعريف بالمبنى الترائي الذي أقيم داخله المتحف وهو منزل الشيخ جمعة آل مكتوم التي يعتبر من أهم المنازل التراثية في حي الشندغ ؛ وتكمن أهمية الكتاب في التركيز على شرح القطع المريضة مع الوصف الدقيق ويعرضها مقسمة طبقا لمادتيها (نحاس .. ذهب .. فخار ... إلخ) ويسبق كل قسم مقدمة تاريخية عنه ؛ تم إعداد هذا الكتاب كي يعطي فكرة شاملة عن المتحف ومحتوياته وليكون في متناول زائري المتحف بصفة خاصة والمهتمن باثار المنطقة بصفة عامة.
