كتاب الوصايا العشر محمود شلتوت رسالة لطيفة في المواضيع العشر التي أوصى بها القرآن المجتمع والفرد، وتجمعها ثلاث آيات في سورة الأنعام هي: قل تعالوا أتل ما حرم ربكم عليكم ألا (1) تشركوا به شيئا، و(2) بالوالدين إحسانا، و(3) لا تقتلوا أولادكم من إملاق نحن نرزقكم وإياهم، و(4) لا تقربوا الفواحش ما ظهر منها وما بطن، و(5) لا تقتلوا النفس التي حرم الله إلا بالحق ذلكم وصاكم به لعلكم تعقلون. و(6) لا تقربوا مال اليتيم إلا بالتي هي أحسن حتى يبلغ أشده، و(7) أوفوا الكيل والميزان بالقسط لا نكلف نفسا إلا وسعها و(8) إذا قلتم فاعدلوا ولو كان ذا قربى، و(9) بعهد الله أوفوا ذلكم وصاكم به لعلكم تذكرون. وأن هذا (10) صراطي مستقيما فاتبعوه ولا تتبعوا السبل فتفرق بكم عن سبيله ذلكم وصاكم به لعلكم تتقون.
