هي مجموعة قصص قصيرة، لكنها تتحدث عن حقبة الثمانينيات في العراق وتحديدا سنوات الحرب العراقية الإيرانية (1980-1988) وتمت كتابتها في ظرف آخر، تحديدا حقبة الحصار في العام 1990 والذي تواصل حتى عام الغزو الأميركي للعراق في ربيع العام 2003، وتم نشرها في أجواء مختلفة أيضا، هي حقبة الاحتلال والاضطراب الأمني والنزوح والقتل والتهجير الذي أعقب الاحتلال وما زال في اسوأ حالاته كما يقر بذلك الجميع.
