يتناول الكاتب موضوعات متنوعة يعتبرها معروفة وبديهية وغاية في البساطة وربما التفاهة وغالبا مرت على ذهن أي إنسان مرات عديدة ولكن الجمال هو في نقلها من شذرات أفكار إلى كلام مكتوب ومؤصل ومرتب وبهذا المعنى اعتبر الكاتب موضوعات كتابه بمثابة مصارحة وطرح نقاط وأفكار يراها عامة الناس ضربا من الجنون بينما هي في الواقع لها أصول فيزيائية علمية وأدبية اجتماعية حقيقية كنسبية كل شيء وكالمهدوية والتشفير ثم شرحها والتأكيد عليها أو تخفيفها وحلها أو نفيها لا تعسفا بل بالمنطق وهناك فصول أخرى تتحدث عن ما قد يكون سببا في الجنون كالمخدرات والتعرض للتحرش عندما يكون الشخص طفلا وغيره وهناك فصول أخرى تتحدث عن أشياء عادية معروفة كالرأسمالية والمواطنة والعلمانية والأسرة ولكن بنوع من الجنون ويتخلل الكتاب بعض الأفكار والنصائح والفلسفة.
