يؤسس هذا كتاب لنظرية أدبية مفادها أن النص الشعري كائن حي يؤثر في غيره ويتأثر به، فهو يؤثر في غيره بتفسيره وبيانه وتوضيحه وشرحه وتحليله وبيان غريبه ووضع الأسس العلمية للكثير من العلوم والفنون الأدبية وذلك من خلال ما جاء في النصوص الشعرية فالشعر ديوان العرب الذي كان لها في جاهليتها بمثابة التوراة لليهود والإنجيل للنصارى وكذلك نجده أيضا يتأثر بغيره في صوره وأخيلته وبنائه اللغوي والفكري وذلك من خلال تلك الحياة التي كانوا يعيشونها والتي صور لنا النص الشعري الكثير من عاداتها وتقاليدها وأفكارها وكل ما كان يقع بين جنباتها من أحداث ووقائع.
