يأتي هذا الكتاب «أدب مصر الإسلامية» ليعبر بنا سدود الظن ويعيد إلى الأذهان مكانة مصر كأحد أهم المراكز الثقافية الإسلامية في عهد ما بعد الفتح وما جرى خلاله من تحولات عقائدية وثقافية فتحول غالبية المصريين من المسيحية إلى الإسلام ومن اللغة القبطية إلى اللغة العربية لم يكن بالأمر الهين إذ إن أولى حلقات ذلك التحول لم تكن يسيرة، غير أنها ما لبثت أن تمت وتولدت في أثنائها إرهاصات لحياة أدبية زاخرة انطلقت من مصر الإسلامية.
