في شعر (مفاتيح الحكاية) حضور مكثف للمكان الفلسطيني بتجلياته المختلفة المجازية والملموسة بوصف المكان فضاء الحكاية نفسها بناسها وحجرها وشجرها. من هنا تحضر أسماء القرى والمدن الفلسطينية بشكل بارز كموتيف جمالي في غالبية قصائد المجموعة خصوصا تلك البلدات والمدن التي شهدت مجازر واعتداءات دموية في عام الرحيل الفلسطيني الكبير 1948 حيث نقرأ بين عناوين الكتاب قصائد مثل طنطورة، المجيدل، الصفصاف، اللد، وغيرها من الأمكنة التي تجمع معا شتات الاوديسا الفلسطينية وحكايتها المفتوحة على ألم الماضي وأمل المستقبل.
