كتاب التعبير الموسيقي تأليف فؤاد زكريا، الكتاب عبارة عن بحث موسيقي بسيط ذو خلفية علمية بقلم الدكتور فؤاد زكريا، بدأ كتابه بإشكالية حول طبيعة الفن وغايته وهل ينبغي أن يكون الفن \"فنا هادفا\" أم يكون \"فنا من أجل الفن\" فقط ثم تطرق إلي ماهية الفن الموسيقي وخصائص اللغة الموسيقية وعناصرها ؛ اللحن، الإيقاع، التوافق الصوتي، القالب وفي إيجاز تكلم عن تطور الموسيقي الغربية الكلاسيكية وبذلك انتهي الجزء الأول من الكتاب، أما الجزء الثاني فقد تطرق فيه إلي موسيقانا الشرقية وطرق التعبير فيها، وقد تحامل فيه علي الموسيقي الشرقية ووصفها بأنها متخلفة عن ركب الحضارة الفنية في جميع النواحي.
