يقدم هذا الكتاب نصا محققا للجيلى (عبد الكريم الجيلى المتوفى 826 هجرية) يشرح فيه باب الأسرار من كتاب الفتوحات المكية للشيخ الأكبر محيي الدين بن عربى (المتوفى 638 هجرية) وهذا الجزء من الفتوحات (باب الأسرار رقم 559) يعد آية من آيات البيان الصوفي البديع وهو يبلغ من النضج التعبيرى درجة لا يكاد يلحق بها نص صوفي أخر وقد تكثفت في هذا الباب خصائص كتابات ابن عربي على نحو لا مثيل له وقد اقتصر الجيلى في شرحه على الأبواب العشرة الأولى من باب الأسرار .. ربما لأنه وجد ذلك كافيا للحديث عن روح أفكار ابن عربي نظرياته .. وقد ألحقت به مختارات من هذا الباب.
