سلطان بن عبيد بن وقيش الظاهري، أشعاره تذوب رقة وخيالا، وصف الجمال الأنثوي بصورة مدهشة، عمل في الشرطة، أبدع في قصائد المديح فلقد مدح سمو الشيخ شخبوط بن سلطان ثم مدح سمو الشيخ زايد بن سلطان ومدح عددا من رجالات الدولة وقادتها. وأجاد بشعر الوصايا والحكم والشعر الإجتماعي لذلك فأننا سنجد ديوانه يزخر بأبيات شعر الشكوى أو المشاكاة والعتاب والمعارضات، وهذه القصائد هي مطارحات اجتماعية وأدبية.
