يحاول هذا البحث أن يجيب عن عدد من الأسئلة المستقبلية المتعلقة بمسيرة الشعب الفلسطيني، وهو يناضل في سبيل تحرير وطنه وسط معطيات معينة للصراع العربي-الإسرائيلي في ثمانينيات القرن العشرين. ويعرض التحديات التي ستواجه هذه المسيرة، وكيفية التصدي لها. ويبين أن نجاح منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية في مواجهة الصعوبات التي تعترضها يوجب عليها أن تتسلح بالوضوح مدركة مكانها كثورة تحرير، وأن تتقن العمل ضمن مفهوم الثورة الشامل، وما يملي من مسؤوليات نضالية عسكرية وسياسية، وأن تتمسك بالشورى والديمقراطية.
