يتناول الكتاب دراسة تهدف إلى التعرف على أبعاد ظاهرة الهجرة في تاريخ الصحافة العربية منذ نشأة هذه الظاهرة حتى اليوم. وقد تطلب هذا البحث تقسيم الدراسة إلى قسمين : القسم الأول خاص بالأصول التاريخية لظاهرة هجرة الصحافة العربية منذ عام 1855 م حتى أوائل السبعينات من هذا القرن، أما القسم الثاني، فيتناول التجربة الحالية للصحافة العربية المهاجرة، والتي بدأت تتخذ شكل الظاهرة منذ عام 1975 حتى الآن.
