يتناول هذا الكتاب صعوبات التعلم وهي المصطلحات التي ظهرت في ستينيات القرن الماضي، فقد ولد هذا المصطلح في المؤتمر الأول الذي عقد في شيكاغو، بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية عام 1963 ميلادي، وصعوبات التعلم هي الإعاقة الغامضة التي يعاني منها نسبة لا تقل عن 14% من تلاميذ المدارس، وقد أكدت هذه النسبة دراسات وبحوث متعددة تناولت هذه المشكلة، ويعرض هذا الكتاب لأحد طرائق التدريس التي ثبت فعاليتها في التغلب على صعوبات الفهم القرائي لدى ذوي صعوبات التعلم.
