تتحدث رواية «القفص الزجاجي» للكاتب الإنكليزي (كولن ولسون) عن السفاح الذي كان يقتل ضحاياه بطريقة بشعة، ويترك إلى جانب جثثهم أبياتا من قصائد الشاعر الإنكليزي وليم بليك، المتصف شعره بالعنف والقلق والخوف. كانت طريقة السفاح في قتل الضحايا، تشبه الصور التي يرسمها بليك في شعره، ما دفع المحققين إلى البحث عن مهتمين بقصائد الشاعر للوصول إلى القاتل. وتكشف تحقيقات الرواية أن القاتل كان مثقفا، لكنه كاره وحاقد، وجد في الجريمة وسيلة للتعبير عن الصراع في داخله.
