مثلت الأفكار، التي أثارها الفيلسوف الألماني فريدريك نيتشه (Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche) (1844-1900) بشأن الفلسفة، والدين، والأخلاق، والقيم، إثارة نقدية جريئة كان لها عميق الأثر في جل التيارات الفكرية والفلسفية الغربية. ومن أهم مراجعاته، التي لفتت إليه الانتباه، تناوله مسألة الأخلاق من زاوية جديدة قوامها اعتبار إشكالية الأخلاق إشكالية الحقيقة والتطابق مع إرادة القوة ؛ لأنها تمثل، عنده، الجوهر الوجودي المتمثل بالموجودات. وبما أن قضية الأخلاق قضية مركزية في فكر هذا الفيلسوف، ارتأينا أن نتبين أصلها وفصلها، وما تحمله من أبعاد سياسية في أبرز مؤلفاته التي عني فيها بالمسألة الأخلاقية.
