هذا الكتاب الذي نقدمه للقراء دراسة علمية لفلسفة العلم عند كارل بوبر قد ناقشت فيه المنهج العلمي بصورة عامة مفصلا منهج الاستقراء وخطواته ثم رفض بوبر له، ومن ثم عرض للمنهج العلمي عند بوبر وأهم الدروس المستفادة من فلسفته، وكذلك أوضحنا معيار بوبر في القابلية على التكذيب ودرجاته وكيفية التمييز بين العلم واللاعلم والاختبار والقابلية على الاختبار ثم تطبيق المعيار العلمي على النظريات العلمية وغير العلمية، وقد تناولنا في كتابنا هذا دراسة نقدية مقارنة بين الوضعية المنطقية ومعيارها في التحقق من النظريات العلمية ومعيار بوبر العلمي في القابلية للتكذيب، آملا في أن يكون الكتاب قد سد فراغا في مكتبتنا العربية فيما يخص فلسفة العلم.
