ترمي هذه الدراسة التي قام بتأليفها (أحمد فارس عبد المنعم) إلى إعطاء صورة مركزة لنشأة جامعة الدول العربية وبنائها التنظيمي، وإلى شرح الأدوار المختلفة التي قامت بها، وبخاصة الدور الأمني للجامعة إزاء الكيان الصهيوني وإزاء الاعتداءات الاستعمارية الأخرى، وكذلك الدور التعاوني للجامعة بما فيه تنسيق السياسات الخارجية للبلدان العربية والحل السلمي للمنازعات بينها وتحقيق التعاون الاقتصادي والتعاون الثقافي العربي.
