في هذا الكتاب محاولة بسيطة لإزالة الغبار عن أحداث عديدة نالها ما نالها من التشويه والتبجيل على حد سواء، محاولة لصياغة التاريخ صياغة موضوعية لا يشوبها المجاملة أو الافتراء، محاولة لكتابة التاريخ كما كان، هكذا تبدو لحظات الحقيقة في قصتنا نادرة الحدوث، ومضات قليلة تضيء عتمة هذا الزيف الذي سيطر على كتب التاريخ وملأها، قبس من نور يحمل بين طياته هدى لكنه يغيب خلف غيوم التضليل المتعمد تحت وطأة عمليات التجميل التاريخية تارة، أو حملات التشويه تارة أخرى.
