تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد مصادر الضعف في مجال الطاقة في المنطقة العربية التي تحول دون تأمين الدول الأعضاء حصول الجميع، اليوم كما في المستقبل، على خدمات طاقة حديثة وموثوقة وميسورة الكلفة. وهي تقيم الاستراتيجيات الهادفة إلى معالجة أوجه الضعف بفعالية وتبين كيف يمكن لمجموعات مختلفة أن تسهم في حل هذه القضايا. وانطلاقا من خطة التنمية المستدامة لعام 2030 وأهدافها، تسعى الدراسة إلى رسم آفاق ما بعد عام 2030 لتعميم مفهوم إدارة الطاقة المستدامة على المدى الطويل في المنطقة العربية والتصدي لأوجه الضعف الناجمة عن استمرار الوضع على حاله.
