الكتاب يعتمد على نقض أهم عقيدة نصرانية وهي عقيدة الصلب والفداء وهي العقيدة التي يقوم عليها جل العقائد النصرانية الأخرى والكتاب لا يعتمد في نقضها على القرآن الكريم ! أو السنة المطهرة بل يعتمد في ذلك على الكتاب المقدس نفسه إذ يثبت من مزامير داوود-وهو أحد أسفار العهد القديم التي يؤمن بها النصارى-نجاة المسيح من الصلب. أيضا تمتاز هذه الطبعة عن الطبعة الأولى بأن فيها ردود على بعض القسس الذين ردوا على الكتاب.
