يورد هذا الكتاب أفقا جديدا في الدرس البلاغي لتراثنا الشعري العربي، وهو بحث ينحو إلى الوقوف على جماليات الانزياح انطلاقا من بلاغة الخطاب في إطارها المعرفي الجديد، وتأتي هذه الدراسة الموسومة بأنساق الخطاب في شعر الخوارج لتكشف عن جملة العلاقات والأبنية المتراكبة وانتظامها في نسق ديناميكي، وهو ما يعرف بحركية الأنساق المعرفية في ظل بلاغة النص الجديدة التي تجعل منه هیکلا متناميا، ووفق هذا المنظور يأتي هذا البحث ليثبت الوحدة الكلية عند شعراء الخوارج على اعتبار أن الأدب خطاب نصي کلي، وليس وحدات جزئية كما يفهمه الأقدمون ولأن التجديد المبدع في الخطاب الأدبي لا يقوم على الوحدات الصغرى وإنما يقوم على الأبنية الكلية النصية.
