عني هذا البحث بالكشف النقدي عن دور النص القرآني في الفكر الحداثي عند أدونيس، ويأتي ذلك تماشيا مع حقيقة أن النقد يعد مظهرا من مظاهر الرؤيا الحداثية العربية الراهنة، حيث يعبر عن إشكالات الحداثة الفعلية وعقباتها إلى جانب كشفه، بأنه ثمة وعيا متقدما بضرورة إقامة حداثة عربية عميقة، تتجاوز الموروث ببعده الغيبي الممتد والآخر ببعده الاستبدادي، وهذا الأمر بالذات هو ما يحيل النقد إلى مطلب مهم للتأكيد على خصوصية الحداثة العربية الراهنة بعيدا عن الموروث والآخر ؛ أي التأكيد على بعديها الحضاري والتاريخي، بحيث تصبح إشكالات الواقع وقضاياه الراهنة هي نقطة البدء في نقد الحداثة، ويحتل المقدس أو النص القرآني ضمن هذا المنظور مرتبة أولى مع الموروث.
