هذا الكتاب حرص من خلاله على تشخيص الداء ووصف الدواء، وقسم إلى أقسام ثلاثة : خصص الأول فيه: للحديث عن التراجع الحضاري للأمة المسلمة والبحث عن أسبابه ودواعيه وكيفية الخروج منه، مع البحث عن بعض النماذج المسلمة التي خطت سريعا في البنيان الحضاري والبناء العمراني والتقدم العلمي، أما القسم الثاني : فقد جعله للكشف عن بعض المفاهيم المغلوطة التي أدت إلى وصف الإسلام بما ليس فيه، واتهام أتباعه بخلاف ما هم عليه، مما لزم عنه العمل على سلب إرثهم الحضاري ونكران دورهم في تشييد شم الحضارة الإنسانية، أما القسم الثالث : فقد جاء لتجلية حقائق هذا الدين والعمل على إبراز مضامينه من خلال عرض ومناقشة القضايا جدلية يحاول البعض أن يجعل منها بابا لاتهام الإسلام أو التطاول عليه أو الزعم بانغلاقه على نفسه وأتباعه أو الادعاء بالبعد عن مناهج العصر ونظرياته وأدواته، فكان هذا القسم المعنون له ب (المسلمون في عالم متعدد)
