هذا الكتاب محاولة لإعادة قراءة بعض تراثنا النحوي في ضوء منهج لغوي حديث ؛ فالواجب العلمي يفرض علينا نحن الباحثين أن نتصل بتراثنا من ناحية، وأن ننفتح على التطورات اللغوية الحديثة من ناحية أخرى، بحيث لا نغلق عقولنا عما خلفه نحاتنا من تراث يدعو إلى الإعجاب والإكبار والفخر، ولا عما يحدث حولنا من تطورات لغوية حديثة، وأن نحاول جادين الإفادة من النظريات العلمية الحديثة في مجال علم اللغة، فقد يساعد هذا على بعض جوانب تراثنا الشامخ وإضافة أبعاد إبستيمولوجية جديدة، ويضم هذا الكتاب بين دفتيه ثلاثة أبحاث نشرت في مجلات علمية محكمة.
