(قرآن الأنبياء والأقوام السابقة) هو المصحف الذي جمعنا فيه كل القصص المذكورة في النص القرآني، وهي تتناول في مجملها قصص الأنبياء وحكايات الأقوام السابقة على زمن النبي محمد، ومن ثم فهي ترد في النص بصيغة الماضي أو الحدث السابق الذي يعمد إلى استحضاره من أجل تقديم الحكمة وأخذ الموعظة، ويتميز النص القرآني بغزارة استخدامه لهذه القصص، وهذا ما يجعلها جزء لا يتجزأ من آلياته في إقناع المتلقي بالرسالة السماوية والدعوة المحمدية.
