يضم كتاب هرمنيوطيقا عنف النص قراءة تأويلية في خطاب السلطتين الأموية والعباسية بين دفتيه دراسة تأويلية على وفق نظرية (الهرمنيوطيقا) لخطاب الحكام في العصر الأموي والعصر العباسي الأول، خصوصا خطاب العنف إزاء المعارضين والرافضين لسياسة أولئك الحكام التعسفية والسلطوية، في محاولة تغييب الآخر وتهميشه بل والقضاء عليه فكرا وواقعا عبر السيف والخطب، التي تحفل بالتهديد والوعيد أولا، ثم بتسفيه حجج الخصوم وإسقاط حقوقهم التأريخية في تولي الحكم، وقيادة الامة الاسلامية بعد رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) مثل أحقية أهل البيت (عليهم السلام)، إذ تتمثل الذات السلطوية في الخطاب السياسي العنيف في صور عدوانية استعلائية لتتجسد هذه الذوات في الميكافيلية والسادية والنرجسية.
