يتناول كتاب (المغانم المطابة في معالم طابة) والذي قام بتأليفه مجد الدين محمد بن يعقوب الفيروز آبادي موضوع (المدينة المنورة) مستعرضا المحتويات التالية الباب الأول : في فضل الزيارة الشريفة وآدابها، وبيان وجوبها (2) وتأكد استحبابها، وذكر شيء من لطائفها وأسرارها والحض على صبر الزائرين على لأوائها أيام جوارها، الباب الثاني : في تاريخ البلد المقدس وذكر من سكنه أولا من التبابعة (1) والعماليق (2) وهلم جرا إلى أن فتح الله تعالى بالقرآن لنبيه الكريم ما كان فيها من المغاليق، الباب الرابع : في ذكر الفضائل المأثورة وذكر ماروينا من الأحاديث والآثار في فضل كل واحد من الأماكن المذكورة، الباب الخامس : في ذكر أماكن المدينة، ومساكنها، وقراها، الباب السادس : في ذكر جماعة أدركناهم بالمدينة أو ذكر لنا أشياخنا المدنيون أنهم أدركوهم بها.
