ألقى المؤلف \"فريدون أمجان\" الضوء على عدة جوانب من عصر السلطان \"سليمان القانوني\" السلطان العثماني العاشر الذي ظل على العرش أطول مدة بسلطنته استمرت ستة وأربعين عاما، وصفت بأنها : \"أزهى عصر\"، و\"العصر الذهبي .. هل تعلمون أن السلطان سليمان القانوني : تولى عرش الدولة العثمانية فترة بلغت 46 عاما. وأنه أمضى 10 سنوات وشهرا في الفتوحات. وأنه خرج 13 مرة للفتوحات ؛ قطع خلالها مسافة تبلغ 48000 كلم ممتطيا حصانه (علما أن محيط الدنيا يبلغ 40000 كلم). وأنه يعتبر أقوى سلطان مسلم وصل حتى قلب أوروبا. وأن رقعة الدولة العثمانية امتدت في عهده لتصل إلى 14893000 كم ² في حين كانت مساحتها عندما ورثها عن أبيه تبلغ 6557000 كم هذا وغيره الكثير من الحقائق مطوي في هذا الكتاب.
