يعالج الكتاب مجموعة من القضايا المهمة التي برزت فترة الحروب الصليبية عرضت الباحثة فيها قضيتان إيجابيتان. وقضيتان سلبيتان. القضية الأولى : تناولت فئة كانت عونا للمسلمين في فترة الحروب الصليبية وبذلت النفس والمال فى سبيل الله وهم فئة الفقهاء وعلماء المسلمين وهم الصفوة المختارة الذين برز لهم دور ايجابي أسهم في مواجهة الجيوش الصليبية. والقضية الثانية : هم فئة التركمان المجاهدين الذين قدموا من المشرق وضحوا مع جميع قوى المسلمين فى مصر والشام وتحملوا ويلات الحروب وتصدوا بكل جرأة وقوة للصليبيين أما الفئتان اللتان كانتا خنجرا في ظهر المسلمين فترة الحروب الصليبية فقد قدمت هذه الدراسة لهما وهما. أولا الشيعة الباطنية الاسماعيلية والفئة الثانية وهم شعب الكرج أو الجورج.
