جاء بالرواية... لم يحتمل الغراب الأعصم، أحمر المنقار والقدمين، سوء سلوك بعض الغربان في قبيلته، واعتمادها على أعمال السرقة والاعتداء والسطو لتحصيل قوتها اليومي. فحاول التصدي لها، وتخليص بعض الفرائس المغلوبة على أمرها من بين مخالبها مرارا وتكرارا وهو ما أغضب بعض الأشرار في قبيلته، فسارعوا إلى تقديم الشكاوى ضده أمام محكمة القبيلة بحجة أنه يخالف الأعراف والتقاليد في عالم الغربان. أبعدته المحكمة عن قبيلته وحكمت بإقصائه عن أعشاشها. لكن هل سيستسلم الغراب لرأي الغربان الأشرار من قبيلته أو أنه سيقاومها ويخوض حربا ضارية ضدها حتى تحقيق أهدافه، وإعادة الخير إلى عالم الغربان وتحسين الصورة التي عرفت عن هذه الطيور نتيجة سلوكيات الأشرار منها.
