تضم الوثائق عشرات الرسائل وأوامر بإعدام مجرمين وقطاع طرق في القاهرة، وأيضا تكشف للمرة الأولى عن حالات إعدام جنود فرنسيين ثبت جرمهم في حق الأهالي. وأضاف يوسف أن المراسلات تبرز كيفية إدارة شؤون الجيش الفرنسي في مصر، فضلا عن وثائق تتعلق بمخطط بين قائد كتيبة الأقباط-المسيحيين المصريين-في ذلك الوقت، ويدعى المعلم يعقوب، وأحد أعيان مسيحيي مصر، جرجس الجوهري، ، للفصل بين المسيحيين والمسلمين في مصر، وهي وثيقة مؤرخة في السابع من ديسمبر / كانون الأول 1798.
