هي أحد أهم مؤلفات الأديب نجيب الكيلاني. وقد عرف عن الكيلاني تنوعه في موضوعات كتاباته. فقد اشتملت على الكثير من الأحداث التاريخية، والرسائل القرآنية، والمقاطع الشعرية، وبعض المواقف الاجتماعية، وغيرها تحكي عن الفترة ما بين عام 1947م إلى عام 1952 م، وما حدث في مصر في تلك الفترة من أحداث تاريخية وسياسية. الرواية تحكي عن مجموعة من الشباب الثوري، والذين حاولوا إسقاط الحكم الملكي الظالم والمستبد، وإقامة الجمهورية في البلاد مهما كلفهم هذا من مخاطر وتضحيات في سبيل تحرير وطنهم من الظلم.
