يتضمن الكتاب مراسلات علمية بين الشيخ أحمد بن الصديق الغماري وتلميذه الشيخ محمد بوخبزة، وهي رسائل اشتملت على فوائد علمية يحسن بالقارئ الإطلاع عليها. كما اشتملت على أوابد لم يكن الصواب فيها حليف الشيخ، وذكر جامع الرسائل أنه انتقى معها الفوائد العلمية فقط، وعلّق عليها بما يسمح به المقام ثم رتبها ضمن أبواب، وذك أنه عمل على بعض الرسائل لأساتذة آخرين مثل الأستاذ الفلاح والشيخ محمد البتعالي، وقد ذكر في نهاية كل رسالة، والكتاب يتضمن : مقدمة وترجمة للشيخ واشتمل على الأبواب التالية (التوحيد، الفقه، الحديث، الأحلام، التراجم، الكتب العلمية، المنوعات، وأخيرا ملاحق وضمائم ضقت آراء المعلمي في بعض المسائل ورد الشيخ على ابن تيمية في مسائل العذبة وغيرها من المسائل الهامة.
