بالرغم من اعتقاد الكثير من الباحثين على أن القائد الإداري يمارس نمطا قياديا محددا ويعتمد على مقومات وأساليب أداء مؤسسي تبعا لثقافة القائد وسلوكيات وطبيعة عمله، إلا أن القائد الإداري المتميز يمارس أنماطا مختلفة وليس نمطا واحدا. حيث يتبع القائد الإداري نمطا إداريا معينا مع مستوى إداري أو فئة معينة أو في فترة معينة يختلف عن النمط الذي يستخدمونه الفئة الأخرى، والقيادة التي تستخدم أسلوب (أساليب) القيادة المناسبة مع عوامل أخرى في إدارته المؤسسية لديها احتمال أكبر لتحقيق أهدافها التنظيمية حيث يقطع أسلوب (أنماط) القيادة التنظيمية شوطا طويلا للتأثير على ثقافة المؤسسة، وهذا بدوره يؤثر بشكل مباشر أو غير مباشر على تميز أداء المؤسسة. وفي ضوء ارتباط أهداف كلية الشرطة بالهدف الاستراتيجي (6) لوزارة الداخلية ضمان تقديم كافة الخدمات الإدارية وفق معايير الجودة والكفاءة والشفافية من خلال إعداد الطلبة علميا وعمليا ليكونوا ضباطا بقوه الشرطة والأمن، والعمل نحو فاعلية العمليات والخدمات المقدمة، وكذلك العمل على ترسيخ ثقافة الابتكار والارتقاء بالبحث العلمي في بيئة العمل المؤسسي.
