الكتاب يوثق للدوريات القطرية الصادرة حاليا والتي توقفت عن الصدور. ويتناول الكتاب 120 دورية مستمرة الصدور حاليا في دولة قطر ذات ألوان ثقافية متعددة، منها الاقتصادي والاجتماعي والسياسي والرياضي والصحي والديني والأمني ودوريات الأطفال المتنوعة وغيرها. ويتطرق الكتاب إلى البدايات الأولى لكل دورية ومضامينها وزمن الصدور الدوري (يومي-أسبوعي-شهري-فصلي) وأسماء رؤساء التحرير الذين تولوا رئاسة التحرير، وكذلك الجهة التي تصدرها وعناوين الدورية مع صورة الغلاف لكل دورية. كما تم تخصيص فصل للدوريات المتوقفة، اشتمل على نبذة عن كل دورية خاصة تاريخ الصدور وتاريخ التوقف وأسبابه وكذلك مضامين الدورية.
