يشتمل هذا الكتاب على تسعة عشر بابا جمع فيها الأمراض من الرأس إلى القدم، إلا أنه لم يدرس المرض ولم يتعرض التيه لأسبابه وأعراضه وعلاماته، وإنما أخذ يذكر فيه اسم المرض في طالع المقالة ويكرر الأدوية بأنواعها، وقليلا ما يورد وصفا مفصلا لها إلا أنه غالبا ما يحدد أسماءها المختلفة وإن كانت جبلية أو بستانية وكيفية استعمالها ومقدرا تناولها، وقد جاء كتابه جامعا للأدوية المختصة بعلاج الأمراض، كل مرض على حدة، فهو يذكر المرض في رأس المقالة ويعدد الأدوية النافعة منه وكيفية استعمالها في المقالة، ومن الأدوية التي يذكرها بعضها نافع لأمراض الرأس، الخلق، التنفس، المعدة، الكلى، المثانة، الرحم، المفاصل، الحميات، القلب، الدورة الدموية، الظهر.
