فتح الفيلسوف والباحث الفرنسي الراحل جيل دولوز أبوابا ونوافذ كانت مغلقة بين الفكر الفلسفي والفن السينمائي واستعرض أفكارا وآراء وأفلاما في تحليل فلسفة الصورة، أو الصورة-الحركة. وهو لا يتوقف عند مقارنة السينمائيين الكبار مع الرسامين والموسيقيين والمعماريين الكبار، وانما يقارنهم بالمفكرين الكبار، فالسينمائيون الكبار طرحوا أفكارا من خلال الصورة-الحركة، والصورة-الزمن. إن السينما لم تكن أقل اسهاما من غيرها في تاريخ الفن والفكر، فكل واحد منا يحمل عنها ذكرى خاصة، تأثرا أو إحساسا.
