ضمنت مجموعة كروم في بيتي نصوصا شعرية في رؤى مختلفة ومواضيع عكست فلسفة الحياة كما يراها مؤلفها الشاعر فؤاد كحل ليكونها في أشكال مختلفة كما شاءت الثقافات الشعرية التي عبرت عن تلك الأشكال. في المجموعة يختصر الشاعر كحل التعريف الحقيقي للقصيدة الشعرية وفق ما تحمله من موازين وأسس ومضامين. وفي شكل آخر جاء موزونا يعبر عن قوة الإنسان ويتفاءل بالجميل القادم إذا أراد له الإنسان أن يكون. ويرى كحل في المجموعة أن الشعراء لا تدل عليهم الشهرة ولا تحميهم العبر لأن الظروف يمكن أن تخدم شخصا وتجعل منه شهيرا دون أن يستحق والحقيقة غير ذلك.
