\"الطائر المصبوغ\" هي رواية للكاتب البولندي ييجي كوشينسكي، وترجمت إلى العربية بواسطة محمود منقذ الهاشمي حيث تقدم صورة مرعبة ومعقدة عن قسوة البشرية خلال فترة الحرب، تدور أحداث الرواية خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية، وتروي قصة طفل يهودي أو غجري، لم يتم الكشف عن هويته بشكل واضح، يتم إرساله للعيش في الريف بعيدا عن المدينة لحمايته من النازيين. يسافر الطفل عبر القرى النائية في أوروبا الشرقية، حيث يعاني من العنف، التعذيب، والعزلة الشديدة نتيجة عدم قبوله من قبل المجتمعات الريفية بسبب لون بشرته وعرقه، الرواية تعرض فظائع الحرب من خلال عيون الطفل الذي يواجه الوحشية المروعة ليس فقط من الجنود، ولكن أيضا من الفلاحين والسكان المحليين الذين يرفضونه ويرون فيه رمزا للشر بسبب الاختلافات الثقافية والعرقية.
