حمص درة من درر بلاد الشام وزهرة عطرة في حدائقها الفسيحة، وهي أريج دائم، تعطر الجو مع زميلاتها من القطر العربي السوري، حباها الله موضعا متميزا من أرضه وأعطاها موقعا متوسطا بين أخواتها من مدن القطر في موضع القلب منه. كانت دوما صاحية متيقظة بسبب امتياز أبنائها وازدهار أعمالهم، فإذا غفت قليلا نهضت سريعا لتستعيد حيويتها وتسير زاهية بما حبيت به من موقع ومكان.
