هذا تحقيق جديد لديوان الشاعر الفارس أبي فراس الحمداني، برواية اللغوي ابن خالويه \"ت 370 هـ\"، اجتهد المحقق في مقابلة نصوصه وتخريجها وتوثيقها، وتتبع ما جاء من أشعاره في المظان المختلفة مما فات رواية ابن خالويه، فتحصل لديه جملة صالحة من أشعار صحت للرجل وخلت منها جميع طبعات الديوان. وقد شفع عمله بضرب من الشرح والتعليق اللغوي والتاريخي مما جعل جني النصوص دانيا، وأتبع تحقيقه بفهارس فنية شاملة تيسر السبيل إليه.
