يتناول هذا الكتاب الحديث عن قصة بسيطة ومنتقاة حافلة بالجمال والتشويق ومعانى الحب والخير والفضيلة وذلك لكى تحقق بعون الله هدفها وهو تنمية الذوق الأدبى لدى الأطفال بالإضافة إلى غرس القيم التربوية والخلقية السامية فى نفوسهم الغضة وفق المنهج الإسلامى القويم وقد تناولت القصة طفل اسمه حمودى حيث تعم الفوضى للمكان المتواجد فيه بالإضافة إلى حوار يدور بين أمه وبينه متضمنا بعض الإرشادات مثل لا تجلس أمام التلفاز وذلك لعدم ضياع الوقت وضعف النظر وأيضا أن هذا البيت ليس ملعبا وقد تناولت الأم كلمة لا فى كل حواراتها وبعد ذلك استخدمت الأم كلمات التشجيع مثل يا سلام يا بطل وتشجعيه على ترتيب البيت وأغراضه بالإضافة إلى مشاهدة التلفاز من بعيد وأن يمسك الطفل يد أمه وأبيه عند قطع الطريق.
