يودع الكاتب أيام الشباب بين دفتي كتاب يسطر فيه ذكريات ريعان صباه بأسلوب يمزج فيه بين وداعة النفس الإنسانية حينما يذكر طرائفه مع مؤدبيه وبين حيثِية الملك السياسية ؛ فيذكر دوره في النهضة العربية-آنذاك- كما يتطرق إلى ذكر الطائفة التي تنتمي إليها الأسرة الهاشمية، ويروي ذكرياته إبان سفره إلى الآستانه التي تحمل عبق الشرق وحضارة الغرب، ثم يتعرض في لمحة طائرة إلى التاريخ الإسلامي، ويتحدث عن ذكرياته في رحلة الحج وما غَمَرته به من الفيوضات الروحانية، ثم يذكر الدور الذي قام به والده في بلاد الحجاز، كما يتناول أطوار تغير السياسة العثمانية في الحجاز، ويروي لنا مقتطفات من لقائه باللورد كيتشنر، وكذلك مراسلات مكماهون إلى الشريف عبد الله بك، كما يتطرق إلى الثورة العربية منهيا فصول ذكريات رحلة الشباب في رحاب موطنه الأردن.
